I found that a category went missing when i was looking at error log of a website i made. It was calling 404 page. Category and all it's content is in database but wordpress not showing it.

    What should i do?

It's getting more and more weird. I can see posts in that category, i can add subcategory (: but i can't edit or see that category and sub categories.

    Have you tried:

    - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    - switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
