Minify problems

I’ve used this plugin for some time now but my site is still very slow.
Google Speed Analyzer blames my js and css files.
I know this can be solved by putting all those files in the minify lists but minify simply disables it.
If I put the css file of my slider in it, it looses its style. If I restore that and insert the js file it looses it’s functions.

Don’t matter what I put in, w3 total cache simply disables it.
So when I put all the css files in it my whole site becomes one crazy mess.

Does anyone know what I do wrong? Is there something I should check or leave unchecked?
