Minify is not activated at my blog. But I get this error in my mail anyway:

Unfortunately an error occurred while creating the minify cache. Please check your settings to ensure your site is working as intended.

This error started when I updated to the latest W3TC.

    What could be wrong?

I am getting a similar error, ever since I upgraded to WordPress 3.2. Randomly I am seeing the message:

Recently an error occurred while creating the CSS / JS minify cache: Some files were unavailable, please check the settings to ensure the site is working as intended.

I never had that problem before. For now, I just dismiss the message, hoping that it is a false alarm.

That's the same error as I get.

I upgraded WordPress at the same time, I think. It might be a problem with the upgrade. I'm upgrading to 3.2.1. Hopefully that will fix it (will report here, if not)

FWIW I have exactly the same issue as @niska -- ongoing email error messages even though minify is not enabled.

I still have the same problem. WordPress upgraded to latest version. Minify not enabled.

I guess we have to wait for the next version of W3 Total Cache. Looking at the development log, I see that many changes have been to the code of W3 Total Cache in the last couple of days, so the next version is in progress. If you're adventurous, you can download the development version from here :

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/w3-total-cache/download/

by clicking on "Development Version", but personally I will wait till the final release.

Sorry for the trouble, what settings are people using here?

Would you like a login, Frederick?

Perhaps a bug submission form from the support tab of the plugin with a login would be good sure.

I don't know if this applies, but see my post about automatic minifying errors:
    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-w3-total-cache-important-parsing-found-with-automatic-minify
(btw, I meant to say *Important* parsing error found with automatic minify)
In the minifying process, incorrect .js code was generated. You'll see what I mean in my post. Good luck!
