• I have been trying to migrate a WordPress installation to a new server for several days now. Here’s the process I followed:

    1. Downloaded all the files from the source server.
    2. Uploaded all files to the new server.
    3. Exported database contents, changed values to reflect new server via search and replace
    4. Updated wp-config
    5. Imported database contents to new database

So now, when I launch the new site, I get a weird half-template. I try to log in to wp-admin, and it forwards me back to the wp-admin on my source site. There’s no way I can seem to get to wp-admin on the new site, even though all files and folders are there. I think it might have something to do with the URL specified in WP settings, but I’m unable to get to it to change it. If I try to change the URL in the settings on the source site, I get thrown back to the wp-admin login and nothing has changed.

I can’t even turn off maintenance mode, because when I try to wp-admin, I get redirected to my old site.

    Source site: http://www.jonlloyd.com/church
    New site: http://www.crossroadsbenson.com

Is there something I’m missing here?
