I am in the process of migrating an old site using the SPIP CMS to WordPress , any recommended approaches to this migration would be great. THanks.

Also exploring conversion of SPIP site to WordPress. Hoping to hear of anyone’s experiences doing this. @spraveenitpro were you able to get anything going?

web search (via google) doesn’t turn up much — mostly services who do it as a business. This one shows prices, which can be useful for helping your client to appreciate you 🙂 http://gconverters.com/convert-spip-to-wordpress/

There is an ooold plugin (2010) that might be useful to start from – https://wordpress.org/plugins/spip-import/

has more info and discussion, and is dated 2013. Is in French.
