Migrating WP blog

i just set up a blog on a new server, transferred content ( theme, plugins and uploads ) , imported posts and here is my problem:

i can see all posts with images on the dashboard but they dont show up on the site
looks like my media library is empty
i am trying to test it and create a new post but can’t open media button

can anyone help.
