Migrating my WP Website to another URL (3 posts)

    Hello:

Would appreciate some help. I have a website that originally started as a hobby with some friends but over time has built up some decent SEO and is getting 4-500 visitors a day. The problem is the URL of my site is garbage and no longer matches the content of the site (and is a bit vulgar so is hard to sell to advertisers). I would love to migrate my site to a new URL and 301 redirect to try and save my SEO. The current site is hosted on a shared hosting account at GoDaddy. Can anyone help explain how to migrate the site to a new URL and 301 redirect to that new URL?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

See the video below for the migration part...but,unless it's just a simple redirect through your domain name registrar, I can't help with the 301 redirect part...maybe someone else could shed some light on this.
