Hi, I'm currently using the default setting for my permalinks (e.g. p=XXX) but I'm thinking of changing it to a more "elaborate" way (date, categorie or something).
Will my old links still work or will I have to write 301 redirects/use a permalink migration plugin?

See Options -> Permalinks in your admin area. They're actually pretty easy to change. More on Using Permalinks.

Default links should still work, but if they don't, try Permalink Redirect.

Thanks for you reply. But I would really like to know if the old links still work beforehand - no one got any experience on that?

Trial and Error: No error! Old ?p=ID links still work.
