This may sound like a dumb question, but how do I migrate my Joomla site to WordPress? I think I have had enough of Joomla. It is a dinosaur. It loads slow, its WSYIWYG sucks and its options are troublesome and drives me crazy.

Nope I couldn't find anything about migrating from Joomla to WP. All the previous posts talk about integrating WP into Joomla.

Yep, that link is brilliant. I moved 100s of articles out of joomla using it with no problems at all. The beauty is that once you get the content out of Joomla and into a better system like WordPress you can move it anywhere you like (almost).
The only problem is it doesnt migrate your members or anything in the mods like guestbook entries or comments. But small price to pay for freeing yourself from Joomla IMO!!
There is a nice plug-in for importing usernames and emails tho

But it will email your members a new password.
