    Using Version 2.1.4

Meta Description Tag cuts off after 150 characters and tag is not complete.

Has anyone else noticed this issue?

    Hi jaredSEO,

Where are you seeing meta descriptions being truncated? Also, can you confirm you are referring to meta descriptions not meta tags?

I am seeing it in the source code and it is right under (<!-- All in One SEO Pack 2.1.4 by Michael Torbert of Semper Fi Web Designob_start_detected [-1,-1] -->)
<meta name="description" content="Climatech Heating & Cooling Provides the Highest Quality AC, Heating and Furnace Repair, Maintenance and Service in Sherrills Ford, NC. Call today for a" />

    Hi jaredSEO,

We've always truncated meta descriptions to around 160 characters. This is because search engines such as Google do the same. We don't apply the cut off in the middle of a word, so sometimes the character count is less than 160 characters.

I understand and know Google's best practices for the character requirements for meta title, description and keywords. I have been using this plugin for years now and this is the first time I have noticed this so I wasn't sure if something has changed. Or maybe I have not noticed this until now lol.

    Hi jaredSEO,

We've certainly been doing this for the last four years since I've been involved with development.

Well thank you for you help and your time. I guess it is something I just didn't notice.

    I appreciate it.

Do we see and new features coming in the next update?

I'm having the same issue all of a sudden. I disagree that this has always been the case because on older sites with older versions the full description is being shown. I know Google cuts it to 150-160 but the full description is still useful from an SEO perspective. Such a shame as the plugin has been great til now.
