• I need help! BAD! I have a self hosted wordpress site: here

I am running a third party theme called launch effect … here is my issue. When searing in for my website in google … here

… the correct meta description shows up for my site.

However, when is search for simply the name of the website … not “example.com” … but “example” … i.e. here

I still have “| Just another WordPress.com site Feb 13, 2012 – Welcome to WordPress.com. After you read this, you should delete and write your own post, with a new title above. Or hit Add New on the left … showing up! How do I get rid of this meta description and have the correct meta description show up consistently w/o “Just Another WordPress …” when searching for my site?! I have cleared the Site Title and Tageline under Settings > General. This still does not work.

I have the correct description and tagline entered in LaunchEffect > Head > Page Title / Description.

I have no idea what else to try. Please help!

Ok, but am I doing what I need to be doing in order to get rid of the “Just Another Word Press …” ? I dont understand why when i search for my website by name (i.e. example.com) it comes up with the correct descriptions as specified in launch effect, but when I search for my website my description (i.e. “example”) it comes up with that original wordpress meta description … Thats my conundrum here.

am I doing what I need to be doing in order to get rid of the “Just Another Word Press …” ?

From what I have seen, yes. You just need to be a little patient.
