Meta Data Page

Howdy,

I’m looking to put an “Additional Info” link with my post that would in turn display a page (probably a popup) with the meta data for that post. While I’m clear on how to display my custom fields, I’m not sure how to pass the Post ID from of the loop to the new page meta.php. Can I use some modified permalink? All single posts by default open in single.php, is there a way to force specific links to be display posts using a different template file?
