There is no way to change your user name. You can create a new user if you desire.

There is no way for me to change my username, true.
But couldn’t a mod, or whoever has access to the DB?

Mods and the like don’t have access to the database. Automattic employees may have access to the database, but again, I don’t believe that type of request is entertained.

Just create a new user and in your profile in the interests field note that you used to be called jazzle.
