I tried editing some code without making a backup first and now my site is broken and wont load. I still have the editor open and if I can paste the right code back in and update everything should work.
Does anyone have the default "Responsive: Main Index Template (index.php)" that they can give me so I can copy and paste it back into my editor?
my email is raildude450@yahoo.com if it won't let you paste all of it in here
Thanks!

thanks. well i have no idea how this makes sense, but after i pasted the new code in it still won't work.
i guess i'll have to rebuild my whole website somehow
A plugin could be causing the problem, have you tried disabling them to explore whether this is the case?
You can also just delete that theme folder. Remove the theme you edited, get everything running, then reinstall it.
Also you shouldn't be editing themes directly if you can help it. Child themes are a much better idea.

that wouldn't be possible, if i try to load any page at all on my website, including the dashboard it won't show up
the only page i can see is the editor for the home php code

how do i remove the theme i edited if i can't navigate to the dashboard?
Hi,
As noted by Mika, Child Themes are always highly recommended.
Now, yes most definitely you can have fresh copy of any part of the Theme.
index.php
but also any other Theme files as well.
Thanks,
