Messed Up Enabling Network

I enabled and installed a network without properly checking if my wildcard subdomain was working. The main site wasn’t working properly so I reverted back to old .htaccess and wp-config.php but not to the back-up of database.

The client has now made a lot of changes to the site so I cannot now revert to the pre-network database to start from scratch.

If I try to enable network now will I run into problems with the database?
