   When I upgrade to 2.8.1 from 2.8, all of the elements in the dashboard moved around and things are crazy. Here's an image to show you:

   Have you tried:

   - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

   - switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems.

   - renaming the plugins folder via FTP

   I deactivated all plugins. Switching themes doesn't help. Renaming plugins folder is just like deactivating plugins so no luck there either.
   Cleared cache, too.

   No it isn't. Some "inactive" plugins can still create problems. Renaming the plugins folder removes these issues.

   But then I won't have plugins. My site requires some plugins.

   Re-read the page that I gave above. The whole point is to set up a new, empty, plugins folder that will let you start afresh.

   I can't start afresh. My site is dependent on certain plugins, so deactivating for deleting them will crash my site and that will look very bad. I don't want to loose viewers.
