   A few months ago, I changed hosting and domain and redirected the old domain to the new one. How can I give a message to the visitors still using the old domain name to either update their bookmarks or let the referring site know the domain has changed?

   If the old domain is redirecting to the new one, why do you need to tell anyone?

   Because I want to eventually do away with that domain.

   Via .htaccess I THINK you can do a check for refferal domain and send them to a special page.

   You can find all the referring sites pointing to you through yahoo site explorer, and find their contact info or post a comment on the offending posts.
