   I'm wondering if it is possible to use php in a "page" to call some sort of message board. right now I'm trying to use bbpress, but I really dont feel like setting up a theme that matches my wp theme. so I was searching for another type of board I can try. I haven't found one yet though, but something that I can host myself so I have it setup with mysql, and can backup the db. also something light weight that is mostly text and some css, so I can display it in the content area of my wp theme. is something like this possible, and is there a board script out there like that? once again, I've tried bbpress, and while I really love its functionality, I just dont want to bother themeing it to match my wp. thanks :D

   I've been playing around with it, and I do like it a lot. however, I'm not thinking it might be a bit too much for my needs. what I'm trying to achieve is a simple message board system to be used as a job posting classifieds area. That is why initially I liked bbpress, because it looks much more basic and not as robust like most other forums. the only problem with bbpress is that I don't think I can just load it onto a page in my blog. I will probably keep playing with simple:press, but in the meantime do you know of either a way to make bbpress load onto a page in my blog? or perhaps know of another message board plugin that is more basic looking than simple:press? Again, thanks so much for your help and pointing me towards what I'm looking for. :D

   I use simplepress with my 2.6 blog, but bbpress with my 2.5.1 blog.
   mainly because of integration. Personally I think bbpress is much more heavy duty, but simple press is easier as it can be inserted easily into a page.I don't know of any others at the moment, but I'm glad you've tried it, and got some ideas.

   oh interesting, I wasn't aware of the classified plugin. I guess I have more to test out and to decide on, lol. thank you again, your help has been wonderful.
