Merlyn Date is wrong

Just configured the Merlyn theme and the date box at the top over which I have no control is incorrect. Need to make it current and have no clue what to do. Merlyn designer is German as is his website so I can’t contact him. Any help is welcome since my site looks woonky with a wrong date.
