    I am using the Clean Retina theme. Why does my Dashboard say I can only have one menu when the example shows many? It seems to be the same for all themes I have explored. What am I missing?

    A lot of the added menus you will see are done with widgets.

    Thanks. I have tried Widgets and they will still only allow me to place it in the sidebar or at the bottom of the page and will still only retain one. Yet, the sample theme shows it in the top bar.

    Go into Appearance > Customize, select Navigation. There you can select the menu.
