    Hello Peter…awesome plug-in! 6 stars

my site is http://www.metamindz.com. I use Elegant Theme’s “Vertex”

A few issues I cant seem to figure out (not very technically inclined)

    a) the logo image on site home page (desktop as well as mobile views) has disappeared all of a sudden though it remains visible on all other pages.
    b) I remember modifying the menu title to “Press to See Menu”. I cant figure out where this change was made !!! Any thoughts where this is usually implemented?

    c) Biggest problem is…on my mobile (samsung), the menu opens in all levels (which means it extends beyond the screen length). Furthermore, as you try to scroll down the menu to see all items, it freezes (I think the main page is scrolling also and the menu freezes when the main page hits the footers. As a result, you cannot see the full set of options. I want to therefore do two things:

    a) only on mobile devices, show one level but with the >> so users know there are more options and they will open if they press further

    b) fix the scrolling issue

  • Hi Omar,

First of all thanks for the kind words and for downloading and using the plug-in!

Ok, lets go through your issues shall we…

    a) I can see you have different images for the 2 pages which is odd… I can only think you may have a caching plug-in that needs refreshing.

    b) The menu title is in the admin area title “Menu Button Title”.

    c) This appears to be coming from another menu on your site probably built into the theme (there is one with the title “Press To See Menu” with a downwards arrow), this is what is messing up the design and causing the issues.

You can try adding #top-menu to the admin option “CSS of Menu To Hide” and see if this helps fix it.

Alternatively, you will need to remove the other menu from the theme as it is conflicting with my plug-in unfortunately.

If you need any help with this please email me your WordPress login details to hello@peterfeatherstone.com and I will look at this for you.

    Many thanks

    Peter

    Hi Omar,

I have got your email thanks for this.

I am replying here just so everyone else can see the response in case they come across similar issues.

I have now hidden the other menu once it reaches the breakpoint at 800px wide. The Responsive Menu doesn’t target specific devices but rather device widths.

Meaning, this will show up on a laptop, desktop, tablet, mobile but only when the browser has been re-sized down to the specific width, which is why it usually thought of as a mobile menu as mobiles have small screen widths.

It can be used as a full site menu or just for mobile by targetting the different breakpoint widths, I have set yours at 800px.

I have also re-instated the main logo to the front page and centered it, for some reason you had set the display to none and floated left for this in the main style sheet. You had a few specific styles targetting body.home #et-logo so it was displaying differently on the home page.

Please can you check all is ok and as expected now, if not let me know of any other issues and I will try to help with these.

    Many thanks

    Peter

    Hi Omar,

Thanks for the further response via email. Please see my answers below:

    1. The side arrow issue has been fixed in the latest beta version, you can delete the current beta and download the new version to test if you wish.

    2. I can see the header image for the children page there as on all other pages, are you still not seeing the image?

Please let me know if all is as it should be now and many thanks for using the plug-in!

    Many thanks

    Peter
