• I am new to wordpress, and can’t find a resolution to this menu problem. When viewing in IE8, normal mode, all works great. However, in IE7 and IE8 running in compatibility mode, the menue is doing two things. First, depending on where the window ends, it takes that menu item and puts second, and any other word under each other, and the second line jumps down a bit, Secondly, when you over over one of the items where something is under it, you can see the menu under it and nothing can be clicked on. This is my test site. http://www.smt-net.com/~rcmann/
Additionally, I know of another site having a problem. This one doesn’t have sub menu items, but it does have two rows. IE7 and IE8 compatibility mode will not show the second row. That site is http://www.albanymx.com/ I have found sites with fixes to “Plugins” that just don’t apply. I did find an If statement that turns off Compatibility mode if using IE8, but it doesn’t help for IE7. I need help please.

Looking at your site now, it looks like you’ve solved your problem. My problem is similar: in IE(8), I don’t see any submenu’s (defined with twenty-ten’s menu structure), nor do I see the background color change when I hover over the menu items. Does anyone have a solution?
