    ok, i dont' know why, but my site used to be fine
    and then after i installed the grins hack fromalexking.org, my menu disappears and the page stretches with white

    I see it.
    Rather wide margin of colour to the left of the content, but I see it........

    Go to your page. Press CTRL and F5, see if that works.
    Using IE ?
    Start-Control Panel-Internet Options
    General - Delete Files

    oh. well it still doesn't work for me.
    the menu turns out under the content, and i dot' know why. is there something wrong with the css code?
    it's from the lilies from alexking.org, with altered colors and little bits

    It floats under the content because you told it to....

    #rap {
    margin: 0 auto;
    padding: 0;
    width: 720px;
    ...}

    This says "make the large content column 720px wide and set the margins automatically". The menu is outside the #rap div and can't help floating below it. You seem to be interested in designing your own site, so start with a CSS positioning tutorial.

    Your css positioning scheme obviously needs a bit of er minor adjustment. Good luck.

    oh sorry. i was trying to mess around with it again, and i'm not sure what i did..but the "rap" 's now base
