    Noob here,
I now realise I should be using the edit css with the jetpack, instead of editing the code itself. for the child

What I'd like to know is, what are the tags for the menu so I can add them into the child?? css??

I really just want to change the font, and make everything white, with a grey background when you hover.

also, should I just find a "custom header" plugin, if I want to add a phone number onto the right hand size, opposite of the image logo?
or would that also go into the custom css as well?

    thank you so much!

    never mind. I solved it.
I just basically took out all the menu CSS, and put each item in one at a time to see what affects what. Once I've established that, I went to the jetpack css edit, and put that variable into it and changed the setting for what I want. Its fine now.

These forums have lots of information you can get, so koodo's to all those of you who help!

  3. Glad you got this sorted out. Thanks for posting the solution so it may help others in the future!

Thank you. but in the end, I got rid of the jetpack css edit, and put everything I learned into a child style.css and went that route.
