Memory lag time when writing posts (6 posts)

    Hi,

Since upgrading to 3.2.1 writing posts from within the admin area has become a nightmare. There seems to be some memory issue as there is a lag as I type or delete text. Any assistance appreciated. Thanks.

    Have you tried:

    - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    - switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Hi thanks for the ideas. I have done the plugins thing and theme swap thing with no change.

Does the resetting plugins folder only deactivate plugins when you can' access them to do so via the admin area in your back office?

Was wondering whether it may be a WP memory issue but I had previously increased the memory to its max permitted and now can't seem to find out how to access again.

    Thanks.

I'm having a type lag problem too ever since the upgrade. But only on Firefox, not on IE.

Wow thanks didn't think it might be a browser related. Will check that out and let you know if it's the same for me. Thanks.

Has anyone figured this out yet? I'm running WP for three different sites and they all lag terribly. It doesn't seem to be the browser or any plugins...
