• I’m using S2Member to paywall bbpress/forum access. This is new, I don’t yet have it up and running on the site.

I have 2 kinds of users:
    – those that are paying for access to the forum(non-clients), and
    – those that are not paying for forum access (but have paid me for 3 or 6-months of separate service, that I now want to add forum access to for that paid term).

I do not have Open Registration “on” because I don’t want just anyone to be able to register, I only have Level 1 active, for non-clients who want access to the forum, recurring paid every 30 days.

I’m thinking, as a client signs on for a paid 3 or 6-month term, I can manually add a username and password for those clients, select the Site role as Level 1, and then all will be fine – they avoid paypal and I’ve given them the access to the forum.

However, if there’s no payment information for the manually entered users, what happens after 30 days to that user? Do they get locked out and I have to re-enter them? Or do they go on as indefinite users until I manually change their access? Can I manually set the term to expire 3-(or 6) months from creation date?

    Thanks 🙂
