   Hi All,

   I am hoping to set up a membership system for my wordpress site.

   I have some pages which I wish to make some pages accessible to clients, and some pages accessible to seminar attendees. I imagine I need a plugin that from the site visitors side allows people to sign up to a user group and then login and view pages and from the admin side, allows the admin to restrict pages to members or a certain user group.

   It will be free for people to register so no type of payment system is required.

   If anyone knows a good / suitable plug in I would love to try it out!

   I'm after one of these too!

   ideally something that would let users sign up and then as registered members - are able to see certain 'members only' content ... something that integrates a member feature with a mailing list would be a bonus

   Hi guys,

   I am using PHPMembers Membership Software. It can be integrated with WordPress and protect your web content by assigning users to different groups. Take a look at it and hope this can help you guys.

   Thanks for the link. Does PHPMembers install / function like a plugin? How easy is it to install / intergrate with WP?

   Threeo quick questions....

   Does it allow me to protect pages in wordpress?
   Can visitors sign up as users from a form on my site?
   Can users select a user group (or membership level) they wish to join at?

   Hi Porle,

   It is not a plug-in of WP. It is a full membership software with its own plug-in to integrate with WP. I am using it and it works great. Now I just need to login from my membership system, I can access WP as an admin. And my users can post comments as subscribers.

   I think it is better you ask the questions on their forum since I am not the best person to answer them.
