Member Plugin, Calendar Advice

Hello Friends,

I am using a Child of the Twentyeleven Theme.
Although I have looked quite extensively, I have not found what I need.

I would therefore appreciate any opinions and /or suggestions regarding Plugins.
What I am in need of is:

1. A Calendar Plugin – That you might have used and had success with.

2. A Members Plugin

I have ruled out a Multisite as I think this is over doing my needs. All that is needed is enabling the Members to list their names, username & passwords, with option to upload a photo and a small bio about themselves. I Installed BuddyPress, but felt it was more than I really need as there will be no “social” (socializing) on the website. Instead only a place to list ones name, brief bio and a photo.

If anyone has experience with the type of plugins I am describing, I would be grateful hearing from you.
