   Hello & Help!

   I have auto updated to the latest version of WP (3.3.1) and the upgrade went fine.

   I now am having two issues (that I know about):

   1. media uploading - I go to a page or a post and click the icon and nothing happens HElp :(
   2. The whole backend seems very slow also.

   I have tried:

   • deactivating ALL plugins but No Joy! - (although this solved my admin bar not showing as Buddy Press was being naughty)
   • manually updating - No Joy!
   • using default themes - No Joy!
   • ^ and all variations of the above

   Please help!.. before my hair falls out!

   Have you tried resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

   Thanks for the prompt reply, I have just followed the instructions and the uploader now works, but when i set it back it reverts to te same issue.

   Might try backing up the plugins folder, deleting everthing in there and starting afresh...

   If you used the FTP method, try the Phpmyadmin approach instead. I've known cases where this has been the only way to completely kill off an especially bad plugin.

   So I have cleared out the plugins folder and the uploader now works.

   So one by one adding the plugins back, activating them and testing the uploader:

   1. cforms - TICK
   2. Fexi Page Widget - TICK
   3. Google Analytics
   4. Post Tabs
   5. Simple Page Ordering - TICK
   6. Smart Youtube PRO - TICK
   7. Theme Switch - TICK
   8. Vimeo HTML5 shortcode - TICK
   9. WordPress.com Stats - TICK
   10. WP-Table Reloaded - TICK

   All working find until: Sniplets (a great little plugin for adding sniplets of code to your pages) this seems to be the culprit, making the uploader not work!

   Damn.. I like that one... now to do a search for an alternative!
