Just started testing .. when I am in the story editor and click the "Upload/Insert" media icon .. all I get is the grey overlay .. no dialog to upload/insert the file(s).
Go to via Media Tab or the "Add New" menu in the admin bar, works great - save for the fact that the upload is not attached to any post ...
Have you tried:
- deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
- switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
- resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
- re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress 3.3 beta3.

Just downloaded the latest nightly build .. seems to have corrected the issue.
