Media Upload Cursor jump – IE 9

A client noticed an odd behavior using IE when trying to insert media into a post. He placed the cursor where the file should go, went to the media upload, selected from gallery, hit insert into post, and it inserted — but at the first line of the post, as if the cursor was never placed within the body. Is this something that can be fixed on WP side?
