• Hi all,

So I’m in my Media Temple MySQL Database setup and I’m setting up a database with:

    Database Name: mydomain_com_-_wordpress
    Database Admin: mydomain

… But I can’t seem to find where I enter the password and when I click the ‘Change Password’ link at the top, it takes me to a page where I can change the password of the main ‘mydomain’ database and none others.

Should the password for the new database be the same as the one for the main database and if so, is that typically the same password you use to login to the Media Temple Admin Control Panel?

    Thanks! 😀

  • I read at http://www.flashguru.co.uk/mediatemple/ that MediaTemple (which I couldn’t get to right now) uses Plesk so maybe Podz’ info can help you:

I think that you have to change your password in the place you mention, if you are in the shared server you only have one mysql user (admin), and the name is the one given when you create the database

The actual location where you go to set or change the MySQL password is located in the Web Control panel and then on the left hand side you will see MySQL Databases, and then under that, you will see MySQL Administrator.

This tool will allow you to change or set the password for the MySQL user.
