Media Library Tab - Page Not Found Error (5 posts)

    Hi Everyone,

I just made a new, clean install of WordPress to a new domain I created. I then updated and made sure WordPress is at the newest version.

Everything seems to be working perfectly except when I upload a photo to be used as an image on the site. It seems to upload fine through the browser best as I can tell (via http uploader as has always worked on all of my other WP websites) but when I go to select the Media Library tab to insert the image into the website, it gives the following error:

The web page at http://mydomain.ca/wp-admin/media-upload.php?post_id=1&tab=library might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
    Error 330 (net::ERR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED): Unknown error.

I've been trying all afternoon but can't get it to work.

I am using Windows XP MC Edition and running the latest version on Google Chrome and I've also tried it on Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox with no different result.

If anyone can help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it as I'm stuck and can't do any more with the website until I can upload and insert images.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Jeff

Can you try another browser first?

I have tried other browsers as mentioned in my initial post.

Here's what Firefox shows when I click on the Media Library tab:

    Content Encoding Error

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression.

Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

The other two tabs on the insert image option work fine..I can upload and I can go to the link section for linking images form a URL...I just can't load the Media Library tab. :(

    Not feeling any joy. :(

    Thanks for the help.

It worked ONCE and then went back to the errors displayed above.

    This is so frustrating.

Any help would be most appreciated. Surely some of your WordPress experts have run into this in the past.

    Cheers!
