• When an image is added to the media library, it appears that several different sizes are automatically generated. For my site, I will upload a JPG image and it will create a few smaller versions in the library. These smaller versions, though, do not have all of the same metadata from the original JPG file. So my question is simply… is there a way for the media library to automatically transfer the rest of the JPG header when making multiple sizes for the library?

For those of you who care why I am worried about this — it is related to a photoblogging theme I am trying to create. JPG images contain a metadata field that defines the color space of the image. Safari and Firefox will both interpret this field when rendering an image, and if it is blank, the image will look different than intended. And even more cumbersome is the fact that the “original sized” image will look correct, but smaller versions from the media library will not.

Thank you for any assistance you can provide!
