Media Files on new 3.5 Version

Can anyone help me on this?

Every time when I load a new set of pictures to create gallery, all the old sets start loading too.(which takes precious time) is there a way to eliminate that? the old version did not have this and it was fast and easy. Any help would be appreciated.

This is a step by step process that I do.

I save 8-12 images then I click “upload files” once the upload begins the old pictures start loading too.

Same thing happens in the “set featured image”
