    Hi all,

    I moved my wordpress installation from my localhost to server side. Everything seems in place (posts, pages) – but no single “Media” is seen from the dashboard/media library.

    From phpmyadmin, I tried to repair the database… result was ok, but that didnt solve the problem.

    Here is how I proceeded for the move:
    – Deleted all that is deletable on my server side
    – Installed a clean wordpress, checked it worked (configured correctly the wp-config)
    – Deleted traditional wp tables, imported my own database (exported from localhost server)
    – Deleted wp-includes, wp-content on server side, transferred the ones on localhost via filezilla

    I thought that was pretty much it…

    As I said, posts, links, etc are there. No image is diplayed anywhere though. I check the server files wp-content and the files are ok. From the dashboard I cant see anything…

    Thanks for any advice.

    Yes. Didnt help the first time, but had it read more carefully after you pointed out again 🙂
    Thanks.

    For any newbies (such as my self) stumbling upon this post: to move wp from my localserver to my remote server (and making it work);

    I followed steps in “on your existing server” part of the article pointed out by Esmi.

    Somehow not all the links to ‘localhost’ was changed by following those steps. I used searchandreplacedb to change it (do not forget to remove that file from server or any define(‘WP_ALLOW_REPAIR’, true) expression from your wp-config file after everything works.
