Multiple content blocks
[resolved] MCB and bulk update on pages listing (4 posts)

After performing bulk update from "all pages" page, content blocks were wiped. What was i thinking!?! Several pages were affected. I saw in another thread that data is stored in table wp_postmeta. Is there a simple solution to reassociate the MCB data to original posts? Thank you for your help.

How did you update in bulk? Because the data shouldn't have been wiped if you've used WP's functionality.

If the posts were updated with blank fields, they are probably wiped entirely. Do you have a backup or something?

If the data is still there for some reason, you could reassociate it by directly editing the database and setting the right post id (the data is in the postmeta table).

Trendwerk, that's what I did. I exported and downloaded database, and I was able to retrieve the disassociated data to manually cut-n-paste back into place.

Bulk update capability is inherent functionality to WP. From "All pages" or "All posts" you have the ability to check off multiple records and choose edit from the drop down to make updates to post data.

I really appreciate your quick response. Thanks!

Great that it worked out and thanks for the heads up about losing data!
