[resolved] Mayhem after move (3 posts)

Our site today had to be moved to a new server. Our site admin copied the files over to the new server and absolute mayhem as broken out. The site is here, if you can get into it at all. There are millions of errors all over the place with messages such as:

Notice: get_settings is deprecated since version 2.1! Use get_option() instead. in /usr/home/medi51/www/htdocs/report/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3237

Fatal error: Call to undefined function the_advanced_excerpt() in /usr/home/medi51/www/htdocs/report/wp-content/themes/cyspy/index.php on line 37

__ngettext is deprecated since version 2.8! Use _n() instead. in /usr/home/medi51/www/htdocs/report/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3237

Most of the site doesn't load at all. We did a straight copy of our installation: nothing was changed. All plugins were fully updated and fully functional prior to the move. Any idea of how to diagnose and fix?

Right now, your blog is reporting "Error establishing a database connection," which tells me that either the information in your wp-config.php file is wrong, or your database is offline.

As for the other errors, try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Default theme (WordPress 1.5 - 2.9.2) or the Twenty Ten theme (WordPress 3.0 and higher) to rule-out a theme-specific issue.

It wasn't anything to do with the theme - 'twas an issue with some files getting corrupted during the copy. We cleared out the files and did another copy and it worked out fine. :) Thanks for the reply, though.
