    I had a wordpress.com blog
    letsdosomethingdifferent.wordpress.com
which got a fair bit of traffic from google.
Have moved it to a wordpress.org site
    nobeatenpath.com
    and getting virtually nothing.
Have thrown in some pretty specific terms to google search and they show my old blog but no mention of the new one. Is there something I am missing that was automatic with worpress.com?
    Thanks

  2. You're indexed: http://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fnobeatenpath.com

Did you forward all the wordpress.com traffic to your new domain?:

Thanks for the answer, and good to know I'm indexed.
I didn't know about the redirect upgrade - I had just typed a message on the top of my blog. Thanks for that as well.

I redirected, and all of a sudden, lots more incoming traffic due to searches! Thanks so much, exactly what I needed.

I have a stupid question on the Redirect. I assume I put it in my old .com site or does it go into the new .org site?

  6. Check the offsite-redirect link above. You can't use .htaccess at wordpress.com.
