Yes, that’s too short. CHange your PHP.ini file or ask your host to do it – and set the max exec time to 30 and then set Wordfence’s setting to 10. Should fix the issue.

Hi!
My server has max_execution_time = 60 and unfortunately it can be changed only by the host. The closest number I could get for “Maximum execution time for each scan stage” option is 30. This number makes the scan to progress the furthest but then it gets stuck. I left it more than 30 min and there is no update.
I have tried lots of other numbers below or above 30 but it gets stuck earlier in the process. Any ideas?

I think that if you’re not reciving an error message as in my case, maybe your problem is not related to the maximum execution time.
Nevertheless, keep in mind this message from the developers:
