I have pretty much implemented Matts asides in the sidebar and it works great using this resource.

My issue now is to limit the asides in the sidebar to say 5 and my main posts also to say 5.

Can anyone help me with the coding for this?

I ended up with SideBlog plugin.

Handy – thanks for that, I may have to resort to the plugin. I like Matts asides because they were so unstructured – for example not showing the Title of the post but perhaps just a link as a title… I will have to check out the plugin docs to see if that is possible.

For what it’s worth, the plugin is pretty configurable as far as display and styling.
