Can you make do with LaTeX?
Oh, Wiki does actually use LaTeX.
I recently created a new plugin for publishing math symbols and equations. It uses the following syntax:
[pmath size=xx]text equation[/pmath]
Where "text equation" follows a simple syntax as defined by Pascal Brachet's phpmathpublisher.
