I realize this is a simple question (probably with a simple solution) and there is probably a topic already made for it, but I did a search and after looking through many pages I didn't find what I'm looking for.
I would like the page title of my blog posts to be the actual title of the blog post itself, but as it is now, the page title just displays the title of the website--twice. I searched through my dashboard but have not yet spotted how to change this. How is this done?
you use any plugin like ALL IN SEO PACK..check settings for that...or check once your theme's header.php file(<title> tag section)

In the plugin All in one SEO the post title format is %post_title% | %blog_title% but yet it just shows the blog title twice.
in permalinks select Custom Structure and put /%postname%/ in box and save changes.

Thats how permalinks work but looks like your title is not displaying the Title on top of browser and that not good for SEO so you need check why your theme is not showing the title like it should do.
You can my website by clicking on name you will see that when you are on article page the title is displayed on top of browser.

I don't think it's the theme that is doing it because it does the same thing no matter which theme I choose.
did you make any changes in your core file to cause the problem.

I don't remember making any changes, what would be the exact file name in order for me to look through it?

Kai, In the meanwhile I hope you have found the solution. I'm not sure but I think it is integrate in WordPress. You can click on de url beneath the title you have made for your post or page and you can click on it and then you can change it.
