Massive number of views on one specific page for several days (4 posts)

Last weekend I updated the plugin to the current version (don't remember from which version, but I definitely skipped some). Maybe this is completely independent from the update.

In the last couple of days one specific page started to pile up massive amounts of views (almost 190000 in the last two days). It is a page that shows a calendar from another plugin (http://time.ly/). Plotting the numbers for a while hints that there is one view per second on average. However, these views do not appear in our Google Analytics report. According to those numbers there were only 13 page views (10 unique) in the last couple of days for that page.

Now as I'm trying to figure out what's going on: Can anyone tell me what kind of action causes a view to be counted by WPP but not by Google Analytics?

Hi, I checked by disabling my plugins one by one and I identified Simple Facebook Connect (http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/simple-facebook-connect | http://ottopress.com/wordpress-plugins/simple-facebook-connect/ ) as the one causing the triple counts of views for me. So I deactivated that for now and I hope this information helps you fix that bug. ;)

However, I'm still searching for those mysterious views accumulating on my calendar page without anyone being on the page (according to Google Analytics). Can you tell me how exactly you identify a view, so I can try and figure out, what the time.ly plugin is doing?

The view is cached on every page load - if someone / something (a bot, crawler / spider, etc) requests any single page of your site, WPP will store the view.
