I’ve just made a test-site live, from ‘test.foobar.org.uk’ to ‘www.foobar.org.uk’. But there are 71 posts that have to be changed to lose the ‘test’ in their stored url. How can I do it automatically please? I’ve searched for a plugin to do it, and googled for it but without any luck.

What do you mean by “stored URL”? If you mean that when you click on any post, it goes to a URL starting with test.foobar.org.uk, then the first thing to check is whether you updated the “WordPress address” and “Site address” in Settings > General.

Its part of a multi-site, and the wordpress and site addresses are correct and hyperlinks go to the right places. But I have pages which contain links to the posts, and its those pages that have not updated and I need to correct all of the hyperlinks to drop the “test.foobar” to just show “www.foobar” on.

If you need to change strings within the content of posts, then you can use a plugin like Search and Replace (simple to use, but handle with care).
