    Hi all,

    Is there a way to make changes to all blog entries for specific text... almost like a global search and replace?

    For instance, on my blog entries I have something that says, "Interested in taking my workshop, click here" sort of thing.... I want to change all entries to something else.

    Is this possible without editing each post individually?

    Thank you,

    I don't know of a method presently for doing it directly in WordPress, but with the use of an admin tool for your database (such as phpMyAdmin), you can use a query statement that replaces the text.

    This is an example:

    UPDATE wp_posts SET post_content = REPLACE(post_content, 'Interested in taking my workshop, click here', 'NEW REPLACEMENT TEXT');

    Note that if using a different prefix for your WordPress tables other than the default (wp_), change the name of the posts (wp_posts) table to reflect that.

    And as always, when working directly with the database, backing it up first will save the lives of innumerable sweet, fluffy kittens. True!
