My son has a blog about judo. http://tijmen.brinkkemper.com On the very bottom of his blog he is using the IE <marquee> tag to show latest news. The behavior of this tag is not prdictable on all browsers. Is there a good javascript alternative?

The reason I am asking this question here is that the javascripts I have found sofar, can't handle the newlines added by WordPress to the post's text.
The javascript crashes when the post is read.
Any experience here in passing post text as a string to javascript?
