[resolved] Marking a Blog as Mature or Spam (8 posts)

    What does that actually DO? I'm using the Sitewide Tags Pages plugin to create a site-wide search blog, which is working wonderfully, but I've run into a hitch. I also use Buddypress, and because people's blog posts are being published not only on their site but also on the search blog, the item is showing up twice in the Buddypress activity stream.

    I tried marking the seach blog as mature, hoping that would stop the stuff it does from being put through the BP activity stream, but that didn't work b(still got double posts in the stream). I've got it set to "spam" now, but that doesn't seem to be doing much either. I definitely want posts to be shown in the activity stream, but only ONCE!

    Wonder if this might offer that option?http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-block-activity-stream-types/ Looks like it's more about classes of events...

    I have that, lol! It does offer the option, but I can't choose to block blog posts from ONLY one blog. I'd have to block them all, which I don't really want.

    Forgot to try the "I would like to block search engines, but allow normal visitors" option in Settings -> Privacy. I'll report back when I know whether that will work or not.

    Yeah, I felt like a dork when I thought of that >.<;;

  8. Mature usually keeps them out of public listings, but BuddyPress may not have a check for that in the stream.

    (just to answer the original question)
