    I have a issue where the store admin is not receiving new order emails. But, the end user does receive the email. Which I find kind of strange. If one works why shouldn't the other? Is this a "feature" of the lite version 2.5.1?

  2. Hello there @catchacold

    They should work. MarketPress automatically sends emails to the store owner. Are you still having this issue?

    Yes this still does not work. I forgot to add that we even tried disabling all plugins.

  4. Is the store admin's email properly configured in Products => Settings => Messages => Store Admin Email ?

    If so, could you please check your email's spam folder?

    Believe me when I say this. I am beyond the basics. I need to know where to look at logs.

  6. In that case you'd have to enable php's mail logs and check what's happening there.

    I just find it really strange that the end user email works and not the admin new notification. Like I said it was working for several years and then just stopped at the beginning of the year.

    Oh and to add my contact forms are working properly. It is just the admin new order notification

    You can combine these threads - http://wordpress.org/support/topic/no-new-order-otification?replies=1

    Also, is there anyway to "hardcode" this to a email

    'store_email' => get_option("admin_email"),

    If so how would I do that

  10. You can take a look at line 3573 of the marketpress.php file:

    add_filter( 'wp_mail_from', create_function('', '$settings = get_option("mp_settings");return isset($settings["store_email"]) ? $settings["store_email"] : get_option("admin_email");') );

    I am actually looking here because I just want to change the new order notification

    //send message to admin
    $subject = __('New Order Notification: ORDERID', 'mp');
    $msg = __("A new order (ORDERID) was created in your store:

    How would I add a email address to that?

  12. just a few lines below that...
    line 3712:
    $this->mail($store_email, $subject, $msg);
    you can replace $store_email with your email. :)

    Update as soon as I added
    //send message to admin
    mail('MYEMAIL@ADDRESS.COM', 'Subject', $message);
    $subject = __('New Order Notification: ORDERID', 'mp');
    $msg = __("A new order (ORDERID) was created in your store:

    mail('MYEMAIL@ADDRESS.COM', 'Subject', $message);
    I received a test message from host

  14. ok. I have notified the plugin developer about this issue.

    Any word on a fix? I am about to wipe the entire store and start over.

  17. @catchacold not yet... The plugin developer is on vacation and will be back next week. A new version of this plugin is scheduled but I don't know exactly the timeline so I don't have an ETA for you.

    Cheers,
    Ari.

    Is there anyway I can download version 2.1.3? I would like to roll back and then update just to test with.

  19. You can get previous versions of the plugin from here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-ecommerce/developers/

    Cheers,
    Ari.

    No luck with that. I even tried to delete the entire plugin and reinstall. Which leads me to my next question - Seems all the data is retained in the database. Is there a table somewhere in Mysql that I can look at to verify the admin email? Or how do I completely wipe out ALL marketpress data from the db?

  21. On the wp_options table, look for the mp_settings option name.
    All marketpress options are stored there, so edit it and it's under "store_email".

    I hope that helps!

    Cheers,
    Ari.

    Thanks for the email - But, I paid for the full version now and I am trying to get assistance over there. But, FYI what I did find out its only certain products not sending the new order notification out to the admin

  23. @catchacold I know, I've been talking to Vaughan (my colleague helping you out on the post there) and we're trying to figure out your issue together.

    Hepefully Vaughan will be able to figure it out once he gets access to your db.

    Cheers,
    Ari.

    Fantastic - The more the merry on this. I am completely stumped.

  25. I can't find the link to your thread on the premium forums right now, but if I am not mistaken this issue was resolved with the help of the plugin developer, am I right?
    If so, then you can mark this issue as resolved. :)

    Cheers,
    Ari.

    Yes this is resolved. End up being that I had a % sign in the title that was causing the mail function to fail.

  27. :) I'm glad to hear that.

    Take care!
    Ari.

    Hi, I have a client who is facing a similar issue. What was the problem when you mean '% sign in the title that was causing the mail function to fail'. Was it the product title?

    Nevermind, it seems like you can't put % sign under product title or variations as well.

    I purchased a website with Marketpress installed and I have a couple of problems:
    1. For buyers, there is only a choice of US & Canada, so people living here in Australia cannot put in their country or their correct 3 digit post code. How can I add other countries to the Checkout address page?

    2. Being a part-timer, I do not have a merchant account, nor do I want to pay $30 a month for PayPal Payflow Pro.
    (a) Google Checkout is no longer available.
    (b) I do have a Skrill (Moneybookers)account but most people want to pay with paypal.

    Can anyone suggest an alternate shopping cart solution that would work without me having to get a merchant account or paying a monthly payment? I could just add a series of paypal buttons, but a shopping cart would have been better.

    Thanks
    Trish
