Markdown and Textile together? (3 posts)

I'm thinking about moving a very large MT-based site over to WordPress, but one major issue is that the site is a mix of entries written with coverted line breaks, textile, and markdown.

Is there any way to have both textile *and* markdown installed as plugins and working simultaneoulsy?

Both plugins can run at the same time, but as you probably already realize it'll cause innumerable conflicts in the various posts. However, there is (another) plugin which let's you define which text formatting tool will be used on a per-post basis:

Note there's no automation to this, though. You'll still need to set each post individually.

Yeah, I saw that. Unfortunately the site has over 1000 entries, so going through each on to fix the formatting is kind of a deal-breaker. Sigh.
